REHABILITATION / RECREATION THERAPY
The Rehabilitation/Recreation Therapist works with clients having various therapy needs. The therapist works in conjunction with Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists and Physiotherapists incorporating the recommended programming into the client’s daily activities.
All our Rehabilitation Therapists have extensive experience working with clients with brain injury (severe and moderate), spinal cord injury (quadriplegic, paraplegic) and multiple trauma including orthopaedic. The therapists are adept at integrating programming that has been constructed by the Health Care Practitioner Team.
Rehabilitation Therapy can be very structured as it relates to specific pencil and paper tasks, or community integration orientated as it relates to outings such as grocery shopping or bowling.
Our Rehabilitation Therapists attend formal education sessions in order to provide the best care possible and liaison appropriately with the health care team.
Rehabilitation / Recreation Therapy includes the following:
- Cognitive Therapy
